HOW TO GET THERE
This island is one of the must-visit places in Myeik Archipelago. You have to get to Kawthaung in Thanintharyi region in South Myanmar to visit this island. From Kawthaung, you can take a boat to the island.
COCKS COMB ISLAND
Recognised by tourists as one of the most scenic islands in Myanmar, this island is a place you must definitely visit. The island is called the “Emerald Heart Island” from the quaint emerald-coloured lagoon located right in the middle of the island, nestled amidst mountain. The lagoon resembles the shape of a heart and water in the lagoon sparkles as the sun shines on its surface. You have to go through a cave to reach the entrance of the island.
As you reach the island, you will be stunned by the crystal-clear water and soft white sand. The place is perfect for a nice round of snorkelling with family or friends as there are tons of marine lives residing in the sea. You can also observe rare vibrant and colourful coral reefs decorating the sea floor. Be astonished by the endless charm this young and untouched island has to offer.
BEST TIME TO VISIT
March and April are the ideal months to visit the island and the entire Myeik Archipelago. There temperatures will be moderate and you will be able to enjoy water activities.
