DAY 1: TRAVEL FROM YANGON TO DAWEI

Fly to Dawei from Yangon and spend the day exploring Dawei. You can see the Shin Mokhti Pagoda, Shwe Tha Lyaung Buddha Statue and Maung Ma Kan Beach. Gear up for an exciting snorkelling and kayaking trip starting the next day.

DAY 2: GO ON A SNORKELLING AND KAYAKING TRIP

You will find several tour companies operating boat trips for snorkelling and kayaking on the sea waters. You can stay overnight on these vessels and enjoy water activities. The duration of different tour operators is different. You can hire any of them and enjoy your time on the water. Some of the best snorkelling and kayaking areas are around coconut bay and turtle bay. You can also visit Middle Beach for snorkelling and kayaking or simply walking around the beach.

DAY 3: MORE SNORKELLING AND KAYAKING

Today, head to Elegant Bay where you will be able to see several kinds of fishes, sea fan and hard coral. The waters are crystal clear. You can also head to Mermaid Beach for swimming, sunbathing, snorkelling or simply chilling on the beach. Another good location to snorkel is Bird’s Nest Island. Head back to Dawei after a great day of snorkelling and enjoy the sunset on the way.

DAY 4: ENJOY THE BEAUTIFUL TOWN OF DAWEI

Being an old colonial town, Dawei is dotted with building donning amazing architecture. You can visit the Shwe Taung Sar Pagoda and the PayaGyi Museum and enjoy the bronze coins, vases, portraits and large wooden ancient Buddha images here. You can also go to the bustling riverside market and check out the fresh fishes sold here. And do remember to gorge on some fresh seafood available in Dawei.
