Currency

The local currency of the country is Kyat but US dollars are widely accepted in the country. You can also use credit cards in many places. You can travel to the country with your own currency and exchange the same in the currency exchange kiosks. Otherwise, you can directly travel into the country with Kyat or USD. We recommend you to check for availability of credit card kiosks beforehand to avoid untoward incidents.
